Socialism is both a social and economic system, characterized by social (public – government) ownership and/or control of production which does not create wealth.

Capitalism is an economic system in which trade, industry, and the means of production are largely or entirely privately owned and operated for profit and creation of wealth.

In the US, the form of government has evolved from democracy (republic) to socialism with the support of taxing capitalism. This evolution is caused by growing regulation imposed by self-managing entities created by congress. This action ultimately results in over-regulation, causing companies to move production, financing and tax shelters to other nations.

Socialist control or ownership of business and production does not produce sufficient wealth through tax and fee income to cover annual expenditures. The result is socialist systems rely on borrowing and increasing interest payments. The eventual benefactor being the owners of federal reserve bank securities, which rarely provide additional capital. It is called Federal Reserve money creation.

Common government systems: Democracy, Monarchy, Socialism, Communism, and Dictatorship.

Only democracy (expressed as a republic which has a basis in law), is self-supporting through capitalism with a balanced budget.

Other forms of government result in loss of quality of life, personal freedom and liberty.
